Casio FZ-10m Rack Ears

This page contains notes on constructing some rough rack ears for a Casio FZ-10m rackmount sampler.

The sampler itself is 3U tall and quite deep. Aluminium angle bracket material was used to construct the two brackets. Iron could be used for stronger brackets, however for my needs the aluminium has been adequate.

Two 4mm x 12mm screws on each side are used to hold the bracket against the sampler. These extend through the faceplate into the casing of the unit.

The approximate plan is shown below. The holes on the rack side were marked by placing the sampler in the rack once attached to the faceplate.

Here are the finished brackets, mirrored for each side.

Constructing the brackets was really the only option, as these no longer seem to be available anywhere.
