StatementAmbient soundscapes produced by bent synthesizers combine well with footage of the rocky coasts of Maine as seen through the digital sludge of outdated video editing software. The video is a low res compilation of various experiments overusing the filters and effects in basic video editing software.
The audio was produced using a bent Yamaha PSR-6 and a bent Casio SK-1. The data lines from the Frequency Modulation chip in the PSR-6 and some lines from the keyboard scanning circuit are brought to the front using a bolt bay. The connections are then scrambled using alligator wires to produce some of the strange textures. Similarly, the SK-1 had lines from the data bus brought out to switches for modification of sampled sounds.
The footage was shot at Fort Williams in Cape Elizabeth and Cascade Falls in Saco.
